"Renew Your Ribbons"

Quick Renew:

Beginning at the 2013 Founder's Day Dinner, the HAAA has recognized supporters by attaching various ribbons on their nametags. These ribbons proudly display which areas a member has donated to over the past year. Therefore, each year a member must make a new donation to obain a new ribbon at the following Founder's Day Dinner.

We encourage you to "Renew Your Ribbons" for the 2015-16 year and continue your support of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Theta Pi Chapter.

There is no limit to your generousity, but a minimum contribution of $150/category is requested in order for you to receive a ribbon ($100/category for donors under the age of 30).

Ribbons may still be obtained at the registration table at Founder's Day using cash, check, or credit.

We encourage making your contribution in advance to reduce your time at the table! Please view the specifics for each category below!

The four areas that your gift may be attributed to include the following:

Chapter Endowment (Pike University)

The chapter endowment is an account we hold with Memorial Headquarters which allots a percentage of funds to the active chapter to attend Pike University events. Our account currently holds $10,000 and has a 2% administration fee. The available amount of funds is based on the annual market return on the account, which has been between $300-500. We look to grow this account by 10% on a yearly basis. In time, this account will accrue enough interest to guarantee that the active chapter has funds available to attend Pike U events. Another route to give is to sponsor an active of your choice to a Pike U event. On average, chapter sponsorships have been over $2,000.

Donate to the Theta Pi Endowment Here Theta Pi Chapter Endowment
Donate directly to the Theta Pi Chapter Endowment. This endowment annually provides the Theta Pi Chapter with funds to attend Pike University events. The more that is in the chapter endowment fund, the more Theta Pi will receive each year. By donating directly to the endowment, your gift will be tax deductible.

To donate, please follow the link to the left, and make sure to specify the "Theta Pi Endowment" when it asks "Chapter Designation or Other Fund" Once you receive your confirmation E-Mail, please forward it Huntsville.Pikes@gmail.com so we may recognize your generosity.

Sponsor an Undergraduate
If you would like to directly sponsor an undergraduate member to attend a Pike University Event, please click the PayPal link below. This donation will go to the HAAA, but it will be set aside specifically for the person(s) of your choosing. Please click "Add special instructions to recipient" when your are reviewing you donation on PayPal and enter the name of the person(s) you wish to sponsor. If no name is listed, we will use it in the general sponsorship fund.

Earl C. Jacoby Memorial Scholarship

In December of 2012, the HAAA successfully endowed the Earl C. Jacoby Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was endowed at $20,000 and will gift one active member of Theta Pi $1,000 annually. With this momentum, we can continue growing the account to increase the amount(s) to be awarded. We look to grow this account 10% per year. This amount ensures the account stays above the endowment requirements and grows exponentially.

Donate to the Earl C. Jacoby Memorial Scholarship Endowment Here To donate directly to the scholarship endowment, please follow the link to the left, and make sure to specify "Other - Enter specific designation under Comments" when it asks for the "Designation" and specify the "Earl C. Jacoby Scholarship" in the "Other Designation-Matching Gift-Pledge Payment" comment box. Once you receive your confirmation E-Mail, please forward it Huntsville.Pikes@gmail.com so we may recognize your generosity. By donating directly to the endowment, your gift will be tax deductible.

HAAA President's Council

Donate to the Pike Huntsville Area Alumni Association:

This council is set up to run the operations of the HAAA. Last year, we had over $3,000 contributed by various members for operational expenses. As an alumni association, we have a required $125 annual fee to Memorial Headquarters plus the cost of numerous letters, envelopes, stamps, name tags, ribbons, ropes courses, sponsorships, alumni events, etc. Past contributions have been made by few individuals on an as needed basis. However, your future contributions will assist the HAAA in covering these expenses as an alumni association and not on an as-needed basis. 1979 Club contributions count towards this ribbon.

Garnet Chargers Housing Corporation

Donate to the Garnet Chargers:

Currently, our housing account with UAH has $70,000 with another possible $30,000 available from the University in an account which is shared between all UAH Fraternities and Sororities. The GCHC is currently organizing their plan for chapter housing options in the area.
